Health Information Systems (UK) LTD is awarded Intellect Business Professional Certification
Health Information Systems (UK) LTD was this week awarded the IntellectBusiness Professional Certificate – a recognised marker of quality and professionalism. Developed by Intellect, the UK trade association for the IT, telecomsand electronics industries, achievement of the Business ProfessionalCertificate demonstrates professionalism and commitment to quality across acompany’s operations. “We are delighted to recognise the work of Health Information Systems(UK) LTD by awarding them the Intellect Business Professional Certificate. The processes in place meet the challenging standards and we have been impressed bythe company’s enthusiasm and commitment to seek opportunities to improve,” saidJohn Higgins, Intellect’s director general. The Intellect Business Professional Certificate has been created byexperienced industry professionals who are already developing and sharing bestpractice and who are motivated to improve their own standards and supportingthe reputation of the industry. It is an assurance of professionalism toclients that want to work with suppliers committed to attaining high standards. Our team had developed a system called VECTOR which has now become a modern multi-disease approach software that allows sharing data across the whole care team, covering primary and secondary care. When I joined the company a few years ago one of my main tasks was to deal with our customers on a daily basis and to manage the projects, processes and resources. Because we are a small company and want to grow within the Healthcare Industry we soon realised that we needed to build a stronger reputation to show our customers that we are a professional company, that we do have the right processes in place and we are committed to give the best service and solution to them. We already had some processes in place, some of them we needed to change and new ones we needed to create. The BPC program with Intellect has given us the opportunity as well as the push to review and obtain all the processes we need. Having received the BPC will allow us to take on more business so that our company can grow. It will save us an enormous amount of work and time. We will simply be able to show the certification and customers will know we have all these areas covered. The scheme covers ten components: Information Security Policy, Business Continuity, Project Management,Proposal Review, Customer Care, Corporate Social Responsibility, HumanResources, Customer References, Professional Indemnity and Escrow.
